Kena had her very first litter Late night on September 10th, 2005 The X-rays we had for her only showed 4 puppies But she did end up having 5 Puppies! 3 Little Girls and 2 Little boys   This picture was taken just minutes after her first little puppy was born This puppy is a Beautiful Little Dapple Baby Boy     Her little boy is searching for his first meal as Kena rests up for her next puppy     Yeah, He found the milk! So cute!     Her next puppy was a little solid female, followed quickly by another little dappled male. There wasn't a chance for individual pictures this time!     Kena's First 3 Beautiful little doxie babies 1 solid female and 2 dappled males So cute!     This picture was taken after our emergency trip to the vets office. Notice the cast on Kena's arm? That was from the IV they had in her for her C-Section We ended up losing a little black and tan female - extra tiny But they found Puppy #5 - a little tiny dapple female - a little miracle baby!     Kena is Glad to be home with her new babies! (and so are we!)     The puppies are now about a day old! Can you tell them apart yet? We can!     Everybody keeping warm on their little heating pad!     Kena is SUCH a good doxie Mommy Better than we ever would have guessed! She rotates each puppy to make sure they all get enough to eat, she cleans them all almost constantly and she counts them all to make sure she's not missing any! Way to go Kena Bug!     While their Mommy was out on a potty break, We were able to get a couple of closer pictures of her darling babies!     Still can't tell them apart? The Dapple puppy in the front with the little white blaze is a little Male He was the 3rd Born The puppy right behind him is the little Dapple Female - Puppy #5 Then, of course is the Solid Female - Puppy #2 and behind her, Puppy #1 - our little Dapple Male. (see, that wasn't so hard!)     You can see how teeny tiny these guys are in this picture But, they are getting big bellies! Yeah!     Still having trouble telling them apart?
