Cocoa's AKC Show Experience
Our little Cocoa was thrown out of the AKC Conformation Show Ring on
Saturday, September 15th, 2007 for being a Piebald...

We were motioned to walk into the ring and place Cocoa on the table.
I walked in the ring, stacked Cocoa on the table for the judge to evaluate

Judge Charles E Trotter (Judge's Number: 3788) wouldn't even look at him.
He walked right up to Cocoa and I and said,
"Miss, I'm going to have to dismiss your dog from the ring."
I looked up at him and said, "Why?".
He went and grabbed the Dachshund Standard book and said,
"No where in the dachshund standard does it say that a WHITE DOG is allowed.
The only white a dachshund can have on it and still be accepted is a small amount on the chest, that's all!"
Then he dropped the book and walked away.

He didn't even give Cocoa a chance...

We still think you're a Winner Cocoa! We Believe in you!!!

I asked the judge, "If our little Cocoa wasn't a piebald, how would you have rated him?"

To which he answered, "Good return of upper arm, nice level back.
Many apparent good qualities.
Sorry your breed has these issues."
