Dachshunds have been a part of our family since 1945.
Over 60 years, and our love for the breed still holds strong!
Country Garden Doxies is located between the beautiful Wasatch Mountains and the Great Salt Lake here in picturesque Utah. Our fun loving miniature dachshunds are hand raised and spoiled in our home, and they are very loved and very well socialized. They enjoy the fresh air, beautiful mountain filled skies, and lots of wildlife. Please don’t confuse us with kennel breeders; we’re just a family that loves dachshunds! Our Doxies all live in the house as integral members of the family, we have no kennels!
Currently, our main focus is show handling our fully registered AKC dachshunds. You can see some of our Show Pictures under the “CGD's Show News” link. We occasionally have litters of puppies and we always welcome puppy inquiries, but this is not our main focus. For the litters we do produce, our puppies are born and raised at home with their parents and are just fun loving members of the family!
We've researched the lines of our dachshunds to insure the best possible match for the puppies we produce as we are always working hard to better the breed. And because we don't have litters very often, you know that the puppies we do have will be overly spoiled and loved before they even get to their new homes! Including getting to go home with a huge spoiled puppy package! (See our puppy page for more details)
We do expect most of our puppies to go to homes where they will also participate in AKC shows just as their parents do, but we always welcome a loving pet home too!
This website is dedicated to being a great information resource for those who desire to learn more about dachshunds and to clarify misconceptions regarding the breed. It is also to help those who wish to get started with AKC show handling. Feel free to contact us with any breed or show handling questions.
