Thank you for
expressing an interest in using one of our males
in your breeding program.

We know that there are lots of choices out there when you are looking
for Stud Dog. And that's Great! All that we ask is that you make an educated
choice! We aren't saying that you have to choose one of our Doxie Males,
just know what you are looking for! Make sure you are trying to "Better the
Breed" - not just "Produce Puppies" Make sure that the male you choose
complements the conformation of your female so that you produce puppies that
are as close to the Dachshund standard as possible. Don't know what the

you may be thinking, "Why do I need to do that, I'm not trying to produce
show dogs" Well, this may be true, but the standards are there so we can
keep our Dachshunds looking like Dachshunds, show dogs or not. There are
plenty of dogs and puppies at various rescue organizations, we don't need to
add to their numbers. Make sure that the male you choose not only is conformationally correct, but also has a sound temperament so your puppies
have the best chance of being those sweet wonderful puppies that everyone is
looking for! Dachshunds are very smart and clever! When bred correctly you
can get some amazing results! Now, all that being said, let us introduce you
to some of our Studs! |

Prior to a breeding
agreement, we require from you: |
 |
|
|
| |
 |
A photocopy of your females AKC
registration.
• (all females must be AKC Registered) |
|
|
A legible four or five generation pedigree
for your female.
• (this can be ordered off the
AKC website if you don’t already have
one) |
|
|
Recent photographs
or video tape of the female.
• (and when possible, we'd like to meet the
female in person before we decide) |
|
|

|

|
|
Following an
agreement to breed, it is
required that you: |
|
|
|
| |
|
|
Provide a certificate from a Certified
Veterinarian
showing that the female is current on all
vaccinations.
• (Proof must be shown) |
|
|
Provide a certificate from a Certified
Veterinarian of a negative Brucella titer
dated no more than 7 days before the mating.
• We will need a photocopy of all lab
reports.

Agree that puppies resulting from this
breeding shall not knowingly
be sold either directly, or to an agent
thereof, who sells outright or
consigns to a pet shop or individual whose
purpose is mass production,
wholesaling, or retailing of purebred dogs. |

STUD SERVICE POLICY |
 |

|
|
| |
1. The stud fee is Pick of the Litter OR
a base price of $550.00
(depending on the male chosen)
The female’s owner is to pay prior to breeding
if the stud fee is not pick of the litter
2. One or more live puppies, three days old,
will constitute a litter. |

| |
The owner of the female agrees that the stud fee
must be paid to the stud dog owner before the
stud dog owner will sign the AKC litter
registration application.

NOTE: The American Kennel Club takes the
position that the owner of
the sire is required to sign an application to
register a litter certifying
only to the fact that a particular female was
bred to the sire identified on
the Litter Registration Application form on a
specified date of mating,
unless there is an agreement signed by all
parties concerned in which it
is specifically set forth that the owner of the
sire is not obligated to sign
an American Kennel Club litter registration
application form until such
time as the stud fee has been paid. |

color or markings of the future litter. |
